
The wild flowers were out in bloom. As a girl, I can remember Grandma Rock telling me the names of the wild flowers on our drives to Rockland. These are Mule's Ear.
The ones below are called Bluebells.

We were really hoping to see some wildlife like Moose but hey....you take what you get! I thought James might get a little teary eyed as he remembered his days as a sheep wrestler on Brother Turners sheep ranch in Caldwell.
There was a sheep camp with a horse near by but no shephard. We guessed he was in the camp eating "pork n beans" straight from the can and drinking some strong coffee grounds. Playing the harmonica while his sheep dog was howling. (Louie Lamore was sitting on a rock writing all of this down.)
There she is, the critter we were waiting for. She looks pretty stragley in her winter fir.We actually saw 5 deer on our drive today.
It was a fun day but this cowgma is ready to hit the sack. It been a long day on the range.
(by the way this post should have been AFTER the next post). Maybe I'll get this figured out sometime.
