Sherwin spotted this phesant in our back yard and snapped a picture through the window. His colors are pretty even though the picture was taken from far away.I remember my brother Jack giving me a ride to school in his car when I was in Jr. High and he was in High School. He usually kept a shot gun in his car and if he spotted a phesant along the way, he would pull over and shoot it. Then he would take it to Mom to prepare it for dinner.
Back then, it was common for boys to have guns in their cars and pocket knives in their pockets. I don't think we ever had a shooting incident at school back then.
Times have definately changed!
