Jane had been divorced for over 10 years and Dean had lost his first wife in a terrible automobile accident.
Jane and Dean grew up together. Jane grew up in the Lincoln town site and Dean just across the street and east of the Lincoln cemetery. Our families attend church together. Dean was our paperboy as a young man. In high school they were friends but never dated. Jane was also friends with Charlotte Sessions, Dean’s first wife. I went to school with her sister, Carol. It was fun to witness them falling in love. We are happy for both of them.
Their celebration was a reunion of sorts with many of their classmates attending. It was also a good excuse to renew family ties and visit with relatives that we seldom see.
